Gemstone Provenance

May 9, 2019

I obtain all of my gemstones from friends that I made while working in international development.  They too are jewellers, sourcing beautiful stones and making unique pieces.  They have begun faceting their own raw stones, and they have recently discovered a new agate deposit in Papua New Guinea. Their stones are sourced from wherever their work and travels take them.  They do their best to procure their stones responsibly, either mining them personally or collecting them from as close to the source as possible, providing income for the people that are first in the supply chain.
